Our Cat with Feline Radial Hypoplasia

We’re well into kitten season! Rescuers may find a few radial hypoplasia cats, so I’m reposting my article about our late, spirited little RH kitty, Little Buddy. It tells some of his story and includes tips for caring for these special needs pets. I had to disable reblog on my site due to inappropriate reblogs. I may reverse this later Meanwhile, here is the link to article:

In 2015 there was an adorable RH black cat who is up for adoption! He was available through a rescue group located in Michigan. Because the link now seems to have gone bad, I am removing it.

  1. Hi catwoods.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Lil buddy is so happy and hypo plasia free in kitty heaven now. Please take heart in this.

Hugs, and may you find comfort in your time of mourning.

Thank you for the repost, Leah. I’m so glad to learn about RH, something I knew nothing about. I’m sorry your kitty had it, but my gosh 19 years is a good long time! We had a black cat that lived to 19.5 years — the last 4 with renal failure. Cats are amazing creatures and have very strong wills to live. Hope you’re having a great weekend!

I’m so glad you like the article! Our RH kitty did have a nice long life; we had one other cat who lived to 19.5 years also. The feline ones do keep me astonished. Here’s hoping you too are enjoying the weekend, summer goes so fast!

Yes, I very much enjoyed the article and reading about kitties (a fav subject of mine). Summer is moving along all too swiftly. We’ve had a pleasant, coolish one at that. Hope you have a great day!

So nice that he had such a long, happy life with you. Special needs animals are very special, I know. I hope someone adopts the MI kitty soon.

    • Catwoods says:

Special needs pets are indeed, such sweeties! I’m so hoping the MI kitty gets a home soon. I don’t know it the rescue group would update and tell us if that happened, but I haven’t seen that on the page yet.

  6. So very sorry for your loss!
