I imagine the dog picture is a big surprise for those readers who know me! I consider him off-the-charts cute, BTW. I was really happy to find Deb’s animal-themed blog. She has a real way with taking a moment and presenting it through deep, adventurous, and meaningful prose. Because Deb has cats, too, her blog is not really a big jump for me, species-wise!

I live near a creek in a forest, in close observation and awe of the wildlife outside, as well as the domestic animals of the household. I'm writer Leah T. Alford. I was "catwoods" on this site Catwoods Porch Party, Itchmo Forums for Cats and Dogs, and a few other sites that may or may not exist now. I have now published a book, and the publisher wanted it called Catwoods. I never expected the book title to be the same as my username, so for now I've changed the username to Leah. I’m so happy you like this Deb! I’d be pleased if it helps spark a return to animal writing! Of course I enjoy your other blog, too, you are so versatile and adventurous! Write it all down, that’s what I’ve always thought. Oh, and Charlie is just adorable!
Well, thank you so much, Leah. I am really enjoying the other blog as well, mainly because it allows me to work on my fiction and some nonfiction. But, as I said, I do love animals and I always hoped that writing about them might, somehow help the cause in some little, tiny way.
