I just needed a sunny picture today! And Franklin knows how to make the best use of our infrequent sun puddles. Working on yet more spring pictures, stay tuned!

Aww sunny spots and cats are a match made in heaven!
They do seem to go together, Antonia! Thanks for your comment!
Sun puddles are fun!
For both cats and humans, I like them too! Of course now that it’s hot here, only with AC.
We are steamy today – phew!
The temperature is soaring here too!
Endless fascination of life-loving felines…
Indeed David! They keep me engaged, every day!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much, Luisa!

Franklin is beautiful. I used to have a black kitty as well.
Franklin and I thank you! Wonderful that you had a black kitty, they are such cool cats!
Nothing like a good sun spot! All the best to you and your family, and sweet Franklin. π
Thank you Lavinia, all the best to you, family, and kitties too!
Sometimes I think it would be just awesome to be a cat! :o)
For sure! I could go for sunshine naps myself!

They are crazy with sun…. this is so lovely dear Leah, I loved this, Thank you, Love, nia
They really are, Nia, I love the way you say that! I’m so glad you like the picture, thank you so much! Love, Leah
A cat in a sunny window is always a great feel-good pic!
Thank you FACE Foundation, I’m always glad if our sunshine kitty helps spread some joy. Seeing him soaking up some rays certainly gives me a boost when I need one!

Love the silhouette of Franklin staring into the glowing radiant light of the sun puddle. It’s a perfect pic of a cat welcoming the heat of spring coming back
Thank so much MNL for your kind words! I love your description of the pic!
Great profile done in your inimitable style.
Greenpete58, thank you so much for such a kind comment! You made my day!
I love finding sun puddles too. My little poodle loves them but my Lhasa Apso avoids sun patches like the plague. Glad your car enjoyed one.
*cat not car lol
Interesting that your Lhasa Apso doesn’t enjoy sunny spots while the poodle does, classicpinkbooks! All of our many cats over the years have sought them out.
Franklin looks content there in the sun, and he does in the header too, which may be new (?) but anyway I just noticed today!
Thanks, Greg! Franklin’s always been able to kick back and relax with the best of them, yet he also excels at perpetual motion thunderpaws. He’s a cat of many talents!
Our prairie weather has been Southeastern Washington Roulette! Effie and Paladin are hiding behind grape vines and I can’t reach them to bring them in. Vic will bring them in when he comes out of his shop (where he’s building an awesome airplane). We’ve had wind, rain, snow, sunshine — the gamut! Our lilacs are blooming, but the deer ate our tulips and daffodils. Cats and gardens do seem to go together. I send cheers and good health out to you, friend Leah, and greetings from Effie and Paladin!
Thank you so much for your cheery greeting, Lauren! Franklin and I send greetings and good wishes your way in return! It does make you crazy when the weather can’t make up its mind. Sorry about the deer eating those flowers, yikes. I do love lilacs but friends who tried to grow them here couldn’t keep them going. Although I believe I’ve seen pictures recently of lilacs somewhere close. So it must be possible. Hoping Effie and Paladin will come in soon, I know how it is trying to convince them to go somewhere and having to wait until they decide that even if it wasn’t their idea, it might be ok . . . in friendship, Leah
Ah, that sun on that handsome fellaβs head! Canβt blame him for soaking up some rays β I would be too … if we had some! LOL
Have a great weekend, Leah!
I’m glad you enjoyed the picture, Deb, it’s actually from awhile back. LOL no sun here either today, just gray skies, bleh. At least the severe t-storms went around us today! I’m so ready for summer! You have a great weekend too Deb!
Thanks, Leah! Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend as well π Sunny skies, or not, lol. [P.S.: That Franklin is a good-looking young kitty!]
Franklin is very pleased with what you said about him Deb, he so likes to be admired, I guess all cats do . . .
My girls β Lily, Sophia & Kenzie β all think heβs cute, too. π
Ahahahaha, that definitely got Franklin’s attention!
Kitties love sunny spots.
Indeed they do, Tim!
