We celebrated early in the last post but today, October 25th, is Franklin’s actual Gotcha Day! We’ve had him one year today!
Franklin says, What book? But we know he’s secretly hoping it’ll do well so we can come out with Volume 2, which includes the most memorable event a feline-centric memoir could ever have, his Gotcha Day!
Here are links where you can get it! Links to order Catwoods Book
A big shout out goes to Meezer’s Mews and Terrieristical Woofs for making us this card!! We appreciate it!
Stay tuned, the fall color is starting to come in! We’ve been to the creek, and we’ll go again soon! Pics are in progress!

Thanks very much Dezi and Raena, Franklin and I appreciate it! Sending hugs in return! We will try for the end of the year party but it depends on what’s going on for us healthwise, we have trouble promising to do things in advance, we’re usually late with everything. But we will try! Many thanks Little Binky, from Franklin and me!
I hope Franklin had a good Gotcha day. Best of luck on your book sales. I think I might have mentioned I don’t buy books anymore and was hoping for a Kindle version.
Franklin did have a nice Gotcha Day, thanks very much! Thanks also for the good wishes on book sales. I hope to communicate with the publisher soon and one thing I was going to mention was a Kindle version. I’ve always preferred to read actual books myself, but I might cave and try a Kindle in the future. Since the book stacks are starting to take over the house, lol.
We are like Nomads and have moved 7 times in 12 years. It’s much easier to move books when they are on a Kindle.
Ahahaha yes I am finding out books aren’t so easy to shelve and stack now that we’re older, unless they’re on a Kindle.
π
I thought of this late last night. A friend has a workaround to “stacks and stacks of books in the house”. It’s buying signed copies with only the author’s names, no “To . . .”, reading the books, then donating them to the library’s used bookstore. Apparently the library can charge more for signed copies. I personally like to re-read the books I enjoy, though. Anyhow if I get a Kindle in the next few months I’ll be checking out your Bad Cat Chris book!
That’s a good idea. I started reading a series called The Destroyer” back in the late 80s or early 90s. We had a used book store and I would by a few, read them, then trade them for about half of what I paid. I read most of the early ones but missed some here and there. Even now I several books in the series numbered in the 90s or 100s that are waiting for me to read so I can get rid of them. Recently I discovered they are now out as kindle books and I started reading them from the beginning again. It has been over 25 years so they are like new books since I have forgotten them. One thing I can do with Kindle books now is have Alexa read them to me while I am driving.
Thank you for the like π
My pleasure, Saania!
Nice to meet you!
Nice to meet you also!
Yes, sir! Happy Gotcha Day, Franklin from me and our own little black cat, Max. Max is getting a new companion, a five month old, orange tabby this week. He’ll get his own Gotcha Day!
Franklin and I thank you and Max, David, for the Gotcha Day wishes! And, congratulations on getting a new kitty! That is so cool! Orange kitties rock!
Happy Actual Gotcha Day. I have a Gotcha Day and a chosen birthday, so we celebrate twice too.
Franklin and I thank you, Indulgedfurries! More celebrations! I’m always for that!
Charlee: “Happy first Gotcha Day, Franklin! Gotcha Days are the best days ever!”
Chaplin: “Many happy returns!”
Thank you Charlee and Chaplin! Gotcha Days are indeed the best!
Looks at Franklin’s eyes. That’s cool! It looks like he has two different colors with the reflection. Happy late Gotcha Day Franklin! and good luck with your volume 1. That’s a lovely card your friends made for you.
Thank you so much for the good wishes for Franklin and I, and our book, MNL! Franklin’s eyes are mainly gold but when I bump up the color a little green will show too. I thought the card turned out nice, too!
Sparta Puss loves Franklin xxx (so do I)
Franklin and say thanks so much! Franklin loves Sparta Puss too, as do I, and we both send purrs to you and Sparta Puss!

Happy Gotcha Day sweet boy! XO
Franklin and I thank you so much, Ellen!
Our Tiny Terror appeared 2 years ago on Halloween. He comes inside for breakfast and dinner. Other than that, he likes being outside. Unless I can put a camera on him, he’s a ho-hum don’t-wanna-know-you cat.
Ahahaha Joelle, I’ve known some cats just like that!
Perfect time of year to be the servant of a perfect Black Cat! (We don’t own them… they own us.) π
Ha, oh yeah Tom, you are so right, the kitties make all the decisions and supervise us daily!
Is it a year, already? A year of black furry fun! Kisses for Franklin. xxx
Kerry, thanks so much! That year did go by fast, didn’t it?! Purrs for you from Franklin!
I’ll take those purrs, Leah!
Happy Actual Gotcha Day Franklin! π»

Congratulations, Franklin and family! That is a beautiful card by Meezers, too!
We thank you so much, Lavinia! I too thought the card by Meezers was really nice!
I like Franklin a lot. He is very cool and handsome, like my cat Paladin, a handsome Scottish Tabby.
Franklin and I are glad you like him Lauren, and he is very flattered to be compared to your Paladin, who is as you say, an astonishingly handsome, regal Scottish Tabby!
I don’t know if you’ll be notified of this, as I’m not getting notices of replies lately, only of likes; but here are some excellent videos of Scottish Wildcats: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=445343565991914
